  1. Worry power - I've declined my offer for McMaster's MA in Political Science (Public Policy stream)... hopefully they'll be making their second round offers soon! Good luck!
  2. That is an incredible offer and opportunity! I was ultimately deciding between Queen's and Carleton's public admin programs...and even though a lot of people (including my references) pushed for Carleton (better funding, better co-op opportunities, better location) I just had a better gut feeling about Queen's. I applied and was accepted to 5 schools, and even though I haven't heard anything about Queen's funding yet (apparently they don't tell you until after you accept?!), I just felt for me it was the strongest and best program. Maybe I'm being slightly biased (as I know nothing about CEU) but I feel like if you want an opportunity to work in Canadian public policy, going to a highly reputable Canadian school would be best suited for your career goals. Best case scenario, Queen's is a highly respected university on the international scale for public policy so if you're looking for international experiences after it could very well help you in the long run too! Congrats on your acceptances! Maybe we will be classmates!
  3. I officially accepted my offer at Queen's for their MPA Program! Possibly the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Has anyone else accepted their offer for this program?
  4. Congrats!!!! It will definitely be a tough choice! I'm still trying to decide as well!!
  5. For those of us who were waiting to hear from McMaster, I received my acceptance into the MA in Political Science today.
  6. Thanks disba! I'm still very unsure of where I want to go! Have you accepted your offer yet?? I hear both Carleton and Queen's are both very well connected with the government and both will lead to a career in the public sector, if that is what you want. I'm kind of in a position where I'm not entirely sure where my career goals lie...and herein lies the dliemma about which school to attend. I like how Queen's is one year, as opposed to Carleton's two years, but Carleton offers more funding than Queens and two full co-op placements. Very difficult. On the upside, my friend declined his offer to Queen's MPA so there will definitely be some movement in the waitlist!!
  7. Just received my acceptance to Carleton's MA in Public Administration! So excited right now! Now I am faced with the age old debate between Queen's MPA or Carleton's MAPA. Does anyone have any input??
  8. Accepted into Queen's MPA program!!! So excited!!!!! Just waiting to hear on Carleton's MAPA program and McMaster's MA in Political Science now!
  9. I contacted Manuela earlier this week, and she said that the department just started reviewing the applications this week and decisions would be made over the next 3-4 weeks.
  10. Anyone here have any information on Ryerson's MPPA program, in terms of reputation, student satisfaction, funding, etc? I received an acceptance and I'm beginning to lean towards Ryerson but I can't really find much information about it outside of what's posted on their website.
  11. I've been accepted to Brock as well and also waiting to hear back from Mac (plus three other schools). What stream did you apply to for Political Science?
  12. Glad to see a thread dedicated to Canadian schools! I've applied to: Brock - MA in Political Science - Public Policy - ACCEPTED Carleton - MA in Public Administration Queens - MPA McMaster - MA in Political Science - Public Policy Ryerson - MPPA I know five schools may have been a bit much, but I applied to each for different reasons. The waiting game is killing me...but nice to know I've been accepted to Brock already!
