congrats bluefit! what is your research on? i'm alternate for uk right now...not feeling hopefully...but who knows....

as an alternate I'm hoping to find out that the person has accepted the position at the school i applied to. I wonder when Fulbright has posted the official list of principles in the past.... That would help me sleep a touch better at night just knowing some solid info.

it would be great if they sent a quick automated email once the chosen candidate accepted...instead of ONLY responding if they don't. I know someone who got bumped up from alternate 2 weeks before the program started. crazy stuff. as of now, I'm just planning on other things...but its such a lingering feeling. Hence, i'm on grad cafe every 10 min!

slowly realizing its a great honor to be in alternate status. happy to have made it this far. endless scouring of sites about probability of selection results in too much information. All i can do is plan to not do it and if it works out welcome it as a happy surprise. that said, there are big decisions to make and as time ticks by it would be harder to undo those plans.... ah, life.

listed as alternate for liverpool uk fulbright. weird feeling. its as if i know nothing new. definitely prepared for rejection which, as time goes on, would be fine with me. just wish the liverpool winner was on here saying "yay! i got it and i'm definitely doing it!" then I could relax.... all this speculation is weird stuff.

this wait is a killer. a little confused about UK responses cuz last year's seemed to turn up around mid-march and thats what it says on uk fb site. But on the phone they said mid april. here's hoping its the former timeline!

had us/uk phone interview yesterday. i give myself an 90%. missed a couple key moments to expand on, but overall...ok. so glad its all out of my hands now. just have to find a way to pass the time til mid-april. oh wait...4 papers to write. that should cover it. good luck to all!
