Depends on the ideas..!! do you think you will get more extra ordinary ideas for the same thing you done in your last semester?? as long as the semester change the situation becomes tough for the students they have to share more unique ideas and in my thought for all the unique ideas your topic should be unique not the old one on which you did already work.
