The person who got an interview at Emory NAB in December, would you mind PMing me your POI?
-
I applied to two Psychology programs: WUSTL's Behavior, Brain and Cognition and GA Tech's Cognitive & Brain Science. I haven't heard back from either, yet.

Emory GDBBS Neuroscience is sending out rejections, looks like.

If it's 9-5, that isn't possible based on my schedule. :/ Would have to be split into 3 days.
It'll depend on the protocol, but it's probably more like 3-4 hours a day of IHC/IF. That leaves the rest of your time for imaging and analysis. It'll really depend on how involved you are if 10 hours will ultimately be enough time.

Mainly immunohistochemistry
That's probably enough time, split into 2 days per week, to do an IHC batch.

MDs far outnumber PhDs & MD/PhDs in the department I work in now, which is a part of the medical school at a big university in the states -- I don't think the PhD is necessary to do research. I'm not sure what the process is for moving into research with an MD, but it hardly seems impossible.

Emory is calling! Interview weekends Feb 5-7 and Feb 19-21.
Knowing this is making me unreasonably stressed out.
I wouldn't fret too much yet =)
Thanks!

I've heard back from the Molecular and Systems Pharmacology program, and I've been stalking the admissions results page, it seems like each program within GDBBS is sending them out on their own schedule?
Yeah, that seems right.

Anyone heard from Emory GDBBS? Looks like last year they sent out invites around December 13th.

According to the results search, 3 people got invites on December 19th. My guess is that if you haven't heard (like me), it's wait-list or reject (though I don't know what their wait-list policy is). This is a pretty competitive program, and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't often do a second batch of invites/interviews.
