  1. Ah! I had pretty much resigned to my fate of being rejected from the BE department. I feel better about my applications to other MIT programs, but some closure would be nice!
  2. Just received an e-mail from Caltech. Exciting news
  3. Received an invitation to Hopkins as well. Also accepted to one of my top choice ChemE programs this morning -- it has been quite an exciting day!
  4. How do you know this? Did you ask?
  5. I had one view during the week of Dec. 20-26, but otherwise, no. Think it might pick up within the next few weeks.
  6. It seems that two MIT results have been submitted. Holding out hope that I receive a similar phone call sometime soon :/
  7. Thank you for this. To other MIT BE applicants: did you receive an official confirmation that your application was complete and will be reviewed? All other MIT departments I have applied to sent me one, while MIT BE did not. I only received a standard email confirming the submission of my application.
  8. Their offices were closed for the past two weeks, so they may not have updated your application in time. I wouldn't sweat it too much considering your transcript was confirmed to have been delivered. As far as interviews go, only one person posted that they have heard back, and nobody has submitted any interview notifications to the results page. Maybe they were a special case or something. I wouldn't worry.
  9. I'm hesitant to post them online at this point, but I'll PM you. I'll add them after the application cycle concludes.
  10. Thank you! I wish the best of luck to you as well, although it seems like things are going well already. I'm applying to a mix of ChemE and BioE/BME programs. As the thread for last year's admissions cycle was much more active by this time, I'm surprised there are not more people posting on here and submitting results. Not sure what that means.
  11. Received calls from UC Berkeley and UT Austin a few days after submitting my PhD applications. Great to hear some positive news so early in the admissions cycle!
  12. @TheMonkeyOnMyBack I think the concern is that since OP drafted the letter (as requested by their PI), admissions committees might connect the dots when seeing the same sentence in both letter and SOP
