Does anyone know how the wait list at the Media Lab works? Is it a group by group wait list or an overall lab wait list or something else altogether? Do many people make it off the wait list? Do all professors make their decisions this early or do some use it as a way to delay the decision/conduct interviews/etc (as implied by someone from past years' admissions results.) I know things at the Media Lab work a little differently and I can't find any info on the wait list, plus the ratio of wait listed:accepted students seems pretty high on the admission results page.
