Question: Have most people already taken the required statistics course? Have you ever heard of someone being rejected or not admitted until the course has been completed? I'm currently taking it and got an email from UCLA last week asking for the transcript once I complete it (in 3 weeks). I sent them an email explaining that it was still in progress but would be completed soon and I haven't heard anything since. Are they only accepting people who have completed this prereq, or are they waiting to see my grade before they make a desicion? Anybody have any thoughts? Very nervous....

Nope that wasn't me, I just checked my email at about 5pm PT and saw the email directing me to the website. Not sure if I'll be able to attend, it all depends on the aid package (which they said I'd hear about in the next few weeks) and job opportunities for my husband in NYC. But I am definately planning to visit in April. For those who haven't heard don't lose hope!!! I'm sure they ae just accepting people in waves to make the admit process more manageable. Best of luck to everyone!!!!!

My file at Columbia wasn't complete until 2/18 because they misfiled one of my transcripts
But I was accepted late last night, so I wouldn't worry, they are still accepting students and usually let people know at the end of the week. -
Just got accepted to Columbia! I had lost hope when everyone else was accepted last week, but I guess they are still reviewing applications. Can't wait to visit NYC!

According the email I got yesterday, we should hear from Columbia by the end of the week.
Did you email to ask the status of your application or did they just send you an email? I don't understand why they are taking so long this year, it seems like every other year they have let people know in mid-February

Not yet and I am worried that I won't hear for a while. I just found out last week that my transcripts had been filed under my maiden name which delayed my application from being sent out for review
! I'll probably be the last file that they review...not god. -

@Nessadub Congrats to you too! I applied to Child and Family Services right at the deadline (1/5), I was shocked to hear from Berkeley so soon. UCLA is my first choice so now I have to wait to find out if I'm moving to Berkeley or staying put in LA. Hopefully UCLA will do a better job of letting people know earlier this year, notices in April, May and June are riddiculous. How are you supposed to move, find housing, and settle into a new city before classes begin in August. But overall I can't complain, just glad I got in somewhere.
@kobe36 Hang in there! Based on last years posts, most people who got in didn't hear anything until March and April!

OMG!!! I think the admissions staff reads minds (or this forum) because seconds after I posted about wanting to hear from Berkeley I get an email offering me admission! It's my first acceptance and I am so relieved! I honestly thought I wasn't going to get in anywhere! For those of you who have "colorful" applications like me don't lose hope.

Is the silence killing anybody else? I have not heard back from any of my schools and I am starting to panic. Spoke with UCLA yesterday and they said my application was out for review but judging by last years posts I shouldn't expect to hear anything from them until May or June
! Anyone know when we will here from Berkeley? -
