  1. Thanks a lot for your prompt response. Right now I am leaning towards UC Davis. I feel UC Davis is younger and more dynamic. USNWR, Davis leaped from 31 to 27 and NRC also ranks Davis higher. There are some pretty good professors in UC Davis while OSU is simply bigger (maybe more options?). As to the climate and location, I feel that UC Davis is nice college town in North CAL (close to SF) and I will enjoy my life there more (I have to say I like Bay Area a lot). The only concern right now for me, I am not sure whether roughgly $1700 per month stipend (estimated) is enough for me to live comfortably in Davis. Do you have any idea? I do not want to ask for support from my parents. In comparison, OSU offers fellowship $2000 per month. But people say money should not be a primary factor when deciding where to go. I agree on that. What do you think?
  2. Thanks for your advice. According to the two links, why I feel that UC Davis is better in the sense of academic placements? It seems some PhD graduates became AP in U Pittsburg and UCSB.
  3. Hello, Everyone, I have got offers from UC Davis and Ohio State University. If my plan is to become a professor, which one do you think it is a better choice? Both programs provide me with full funding. I would really appreciate any advice.
