Anyone else heard back from Queens? I thought the deadline for the admissions was April 30th, so I thought I would have heard something by now...

Nope, I asked and they said that the list isn't ranked yet

For those waiting on Queens:

I just called them and they said that if you haven't received an email regarding an acceptance/rejection then you're probably on the wait list. There's about 21 people on the wait list and the program directors are off until next week, so decisions will be made then.

Anyone else hear back from Queens or Guelph yet? Would really like to know when they plan on releasing responses for wait list and rejections ...

Hey All!

 

I applied to the MPH program at Queen's and Guelph and the MPH program for Health Promotion at UofT. I was very fortunate to receive an offer from all 3 schools but I decided to accept the one from UofT mainly because of how strongly this program appeals to my interests and career prospects. Those who are still waiting for Queen's and Guelph-have hope! I rejected my offers from these schools today. 

 

Good luck to all receiving acceptances and making tough decisions. Its not easy!!

 

Congrats on all the offers! Just wondering, what were the deadlines for each uni to respond to their offer?

Thank you! I heard via email from Professor Andrew Papadopoulos! He said that the official letter would be sent out via post within the next 2 weeks.

I'm really hoping for Guelph, hopefully they'll send some more out tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

 

Me too.. so far I haven't heard back from anywhere and it's killing me I really hope I hear back tomorrow..

I'm still waiting on Guelph too, although I don't really expect to hear from them until end of April since their deadline for the application was pretty late

Just checked the grad cafe results survey and it looks like there was a rejection for queens sent out yesterday... Really hope they're starting to send out the rest of the responses this week and the next

Has anyone been invited for an interview for U of T Health Promotion? Does anyone know when they are expected to get back to us? I "unofficially" accepted another offer from U of T (medical anthro), but I want to hear back from this program before I sign the forms and submit them to the department...

 

EDIT: I just called the department. Those of us who applied for the Health Promotion stream won't hear back until "late April" at the earliest.

 

Thanks for the info! I was actually hoping to hear back from UT next week about health promotion, but I guess that isn't happening...  

Are there interviews for health promo? I thought that was just for the OEH stream, and maybe health promo if your application is on the fence..

Ya I do remember reading someone posting that they were waitlisted. Maybe they misunderstood the email and it was actually their application put on the waiting list to be reviewed. Anyways, I gather from other posts that people who received offers have to decide by Apr 13sh so maybe more offers will be sent then. *fingers crossed*

 

Yeah sorry it may have been a miscommunication on my part, I emailed to ask about the status of my application and they told me I was currently wait listed. I don't think they officially emailed everyone else regarding the 'official' wait list and 2nd round offers (even my application status is still the same) - they're probably waiting for the first round to reply. Looks like last year heard from them around 10-16 April, hopefully we'll hear back around that time too!

For anyone still waiting for Queens..this is the email I received today:

 

In regards to applications yes we have  started to send out  offers however have  only begun and still have a number of applications that are on the waiting list and final decisions are yet to be made. You should hear something within the next couple of weeks. I hope this information was helpful.

I've been following this forum for a while and just wanted to say good luck to everyone for April 1st! I know the wait is driving me crazy too, but fingers crossed that we hear good news

We get an email before that status is updated anyways so look for an email.
