  1. Also thanks so much for making it! Sorry, I did not mean to sound like I am complaining. I was just curious to know whether people are actually using it or not.
  2. Why are there only 2 people in it?
  3. Thank you! You too!!!! Yes! We should connect on facebook at some point so can actually recognize each other when it starts lol If anyone is interested in creating a facebook that would be cool!
  4. I don't know how to delete a post. Sorry I posted the same thing twice bc of slow internet
  5. I got the Brazil ETA! I'm so happy!!!!! Thanks, Fulbright community for all your support this past month. You've kept me sane. Fingers Crossed, I've been lurking on so many of your posts. I'm curious too see if you got it. I hope to stay in touch with all future Brazil ETAs!
  6. Thanks so much for doing this!! Based on this response, I don't think any decisions will come out this week. In the meantime, I've discovered this silly, addicting game called 2048 (Google it if you're bored). Also, Fingers_Crossed, what did you decide to do with the fellowship? I hope it went well!
  7. Thanks for sharing! Sorry no one responded to you I hope it works out !
  8. Hi Fingers Crossed, I agree with Cafeconleche on this one. The first thing you should do is email the people in charge of the fellowship and ask for an extension. I would also call the Fulbright program and explain your situation. If that's not possible, wait until the last possible minute and then accept the fellowship. Once you get the Fulbright, you can actually choose between the two programs. This kind of thing happens at my school ALL THE TIME! Like Cafeconleche said, they have alternates for this exact reason. It sounds like you are an amazing candidate for Fulbright. Based on what you mentioned above, I really do think that you will be accepted. But, you never know what can happen. So I would advice you to accept the other fellowship and make a final decision about the two later on. PS: Congrats!!
  9. Same. I'm about to give up on checking my email. Congrats to everyone who heard back today! And hang in there to those who are alternates or those who might have to search for different opportunities. I got my hopes up so much today! This has been a very good exercise in patience, tranquility, and uncertainty -- maybe it's meant to prepare us for the tough road we might have to face as Fulbright-ers?
  10. Congrats!!!!!
  11. I have no idea when the notifications will come out, but I can definitely relate to the heart racing part. My heart speeds up just thinking about receiving that email. Hopefully we'll hear back soon. Good luck!
  12. Hey, I'm sorry to hear this. It happens, but another opportunity will no doubt come your way. Echoing everyone else on this forum, just being nominated is a great honor and it means that your application was super strong. If you have your heart set on teaching English in Spain my friend did one in Galicia and really loved it. She was paid 700 euros a month with free housing. I'm not sure the name of the program but I guess you can Google something along those lines. I remember the application was due sometime in May.
  13. Congrats!!!! This is an amazing opportunity! You deserve it!
  14. Thanks for posting! What a great article!!
