Has anyone else on this gotten into McMasters' HRM? Do you have a supervisor yet? I'm having a seeeriously hard time...

Sorry about the tragically late reply, jajambo. And yeahp - UTM, the one and only! Never had the pleasure of being taught by Dr. Pollanen. I think he left before I got to the upper years. Mac is the only other place I applied aside from UofT, so yeah. Tbf, I was leaning towards it moreso than UofT... guess things work out for the better. And thank you for the kind words. I was seriously bummed for a while, lol.

LOL, Forensic science. I think it's a pretty atypical undergrad.

Np at all Deletta! cGPA 3.53/4, last year GPA= 3.93/4 I have a *very* unusual undergrad degree. I believe that was a major disadvantage. It seems that other applicants had epi/public health experience as well as higher overall grades. Though I think I have the research/stats experience that UofT was looking for... I guess I wasn't suitable for their public health program. Meh. C'est la vie!

Thanks ahnoom and MPHepi for sharing! Awesome stats guys! Congrats once again. Unfortunately, didn't make the cut. I thought I was competitive... but maybe not competitive enough. Strong GPA, espeech in my last year. I have experimental research experience, strong statistics background, spoke at 2 confrences about my research/might be publishing my paper in a prestigious journal. I was a science student, but not health sci. Guess it really makes a difference to UofT. Glad McMaster looked beyond that. Bah, guess everything happens for a reason. Anywho - Congratulations to everyone who got in and good luck to everyone waiting!

For anyone waiting on McMaster's HRM program (I applied to the Population and Public Health stream) - I got an e-mail from them earlier today, saying that I have been recommended to the School of Graduate Studies for an offer. (Thank GOD! I was getting antsy!) An official offer has yet to arrive, pending funding arrangements and a suitable supervisor. Sooooo - it's coming! Good luck to everyone else waiting.
