Hey kmshrader! Would you mind posting a link to the group? I tried searching for it and am unfortunately doing something wrong.

We don't know yet, she hasn't got her placement. I seriously doubt it though, Teterow only has like 8800 people. But she preferenced similar Bundesländer, so we'll probably be within a couple hours of each other.

Got the ETA to Germany! (And so did my roommate!) I also received my placement (because apparently Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is ON it). I'll be in Teterow! Hit me up if you'll be in the North.

You're getting a PhD?! Personally, I think that's a pretty commendable accomplishment. Plus, you already know that you were a good enough applicant to be recommended. Don't give up yet; you're definitely on your way.

I'm actually really digging the quasi-mystical attitudes about Germany notifications.

We both just applied for the ETA. I know for me at least things were pretty chaotic and I was applying to other English grad school options, but am still considering DAAD or USTA in the future if Fulbright doesn't happen (or if it does and is so amazing that I never want to come home).

My roommate and I both applied. We've been refreshing our emails every half hour (okay, maybe more often when things are really slow...). Let me know if anyone for Germany hears back!
