  1. HI, I've applied for two phd programs (first and second choice) in the department of Geography and Environment at LSE and 4 months have passed now since I submitted my application without me hearing back from them. A friend of mine who applied for Cambridge and Oxford got a rejection and an admission respectively, which means she got the result already but nothing seems to be happening with LSE. Has anyone applied for any programs, even masters, in the same department as I did? I only applied for LSE this year as that's my dream school and I thought I would rather work one more year as I love my current job, if I couldn't get into this particular school. I'm planning to throw a wider net next year if I don't get in. So the point is I don't quite know how long it should take normally to review phd applications but reading posts here, I get the impression that most schools are done with reviewing and people are making decisions which school to attend. I would like to know if there's anybody who heard back from LSE so that I know if it's just me who's not heard back or the processing times are longer than usual for everyone. If you applied or if you know someone who applied, please share with me the results. Thank you so much. Best wishes,
  2. I'm going through the same situation. I mean, do they ever bother to consider a lot of other important matters such as applying for external funding programs depend on their decisions? It's been almost four month since I submitted my full application and no response. I asked twice about my status and the woman whom I wrote to was always so apologetic, which makes me feel a touch better at this point. But that doesn't mean I hear back at the point she predicted. Oh well, I really don't know what's happening and this is beyond my understanding. All I can say is.. let's keep calm and carry on. Let's hope for the best!
