hello -- Longtime lurker. I was admitted into Columbia's MA program. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about funding decisions. the letter sent to me said April 15, but I was curious as to: -- whether anyone had procured better information --whether anyone knew what kind of funding MA or MS students have gotten in the past (if any).

I'd take a close look at those programs. I believe the NYU program is very theoretical and not based on production (although there is some). If you want to study the academic side, you''ll be alright. If you want to so PR or another trade like that, you might consider a more hands-on program. Academic-minded programs are more likely to consider the GRE and your verbal is a little low for communications. I don't think it will keep you out of the running altogether. Just have good references and writing samples.
