Yea, I have seen more stuff on it. However, they are all still listed as "no current status" (except for trancripts )even though I have already been offered an interview. I have got this feeling that they never update this page and I don't think it's an indicator of anything.

Which program? Tetrad or BMS? I applied to Tetrad but they have not finished their interview process yet (my interview is scheduled on 2/26)

I also went to the visit on 2/4 for the MB&B track. The campus is gorgeous. It's like the Hogwarts in Harry Porter. The campus also has a huge gym and its membership is free for students. There are also many theaters nearby. Some of them are free and others are discounted for Yale students. The BBS program is a very good program. You can rotate in any lab within the BBS program so even if you apply to one track, you can still rotate in labs in other tracks. Everyone (faculty and students) is very friendly and nice. I had a dinner with two old faculty members who told me a lot of stories in the science. Also, I could feel that the students at Yale are very happy, that the relationship between students and faculty is very close and that the faculty members are very caring and supportive for students. The only bad (or maybe good) thing is that New Haven is a small city and is nothing compared to Boston or New York. With that said, however, the housing cost of New Haven is relatively low compared to the two big cities. New Haven is also quite close to New York (~2 hours by train, and it only costs you $17 one-way). New Haven is quite safe, as long as you don't venture too far away from the campus area. Yale also has a shuttle service circulating around the campus during the daytime (~5-10 minutes frequency) and at night, you can call (literally, no kidding) the shuttle bus anywhere near the campus and the shuttle driver will take you to anywhere closeby (yes, ANYWHERE, not just the campus. You can literally take the shuttle back home from a bar in downtown). You can use this shuttle service as long as you have a Yale ID. In general, I think Yale is a good place for science and a good enough place for me to live in. I really hope that I will get in to the program

I think MB&B won't get one until we're at New Haven because I am also in MB&B and haven't got an interview schedule. In fact, I haven't even got any email from my student host (my friend got it though). Anyway, see you in 2 days!

I applied to Einstein in early December and got invited on Dec 22 through email to their 1/25-26 interview session. They have rolling admissions though and they may notice people at different times.

May I ask you which track did you apply to and when did you get your schedule? I applied to the molecular biophysics and biochemistry track and didn't even get a schedule. In fact, I haven't received anything from them after I have told them my airport arrival and departure dates and times.

I have applied and I got invited to their California and Florida campuses around 2 weeks ago.

Not sure about other schools but for Einstein, they will let us know about 1 week and a half after the interview.

I applied in early Dec and got an invite on Dec 22. From what I have learned from the grad students coordinating the event, there will be a total of ~7 interview sessions and so far only 2 (mine included) had been conducted. Assuming there are 2-3 iinterviews in a month, I am pretty sure they are still sending out invites for the late Feb and March sessions.

MCGD is scheduled to have two interview sessions: 2/5-2/6 and 2/12-2/13 (http://bbs.yale.edu/...tionstatus.aspx) I don't want to be a downer but it seems unlikely that they still send out invites since it is already quite late to attend any of these 2 sessions. However, they do mention in the FAQ page that they may make decision as late as March. And to Gremot, international applicants are phone interviewed somewhere in Feb or March, according to the link above.

Hmm....this is really strange. I wonder how he knows about the application info. Is he a faculty member in the school that you applied to? Anyway, if you application is really attractive and you are outside US, they will probably give you a phone interview. And international applicants generally will get an invitation at a later time compared to domestic ones. Don't worry about it. I am sure you will get something.

Can you give us a little bit more details? What do you mean by informal invitation? Have they given you informations about traveling to the school? And what do you want to ask them about? Some schools are not prompt in responding emails/phone calls, especially at this peak season where everyone is calling... I would say keep calling until they answer if you are really desperate on getting an answer... Good luck

Not sure about UC Davis. I think the stipend level depends on whether you get other fellowships too. Just for your reference, the annual stipend levels of UCSF and UC Berkeley are $27000 and $26000, respectively. I expect Davis to have a similar level of stipend. I think the intent to register page is just to let them know that you MAY want to enroll at Davis. You can still decline their offer (I believe) later. By the way, I was unable to log on to the intent to register page....the system kept prompting me that I did not have the right to access it....
