  1. I am in the same boat. I applied for the Soc DDIG, but my fastlane status is still pending. I have also only heard of those who have received award, anf nothing from those who haven't. (But also, all my information is pretty much coming from this forum).
  2. Thanks for sharing the info, everyone!
  3. Hi all, Just wanted to see if anyone has heard either way? I haven't yet, and even though I'm fairly certain about the decision, I would still like an email from them and some closure on this chapter. Thanks!
  4. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here has submitted to Work, Employment and Society? What was your experience like? Specifically, what was the time between date of submission and date of decision? Many thanks for any insight you can provide!
  5. Thanks Nosleeptildoctorate! I'll do the same for you!
  6. I haven't checked yet, and that's partly because it seems my advisor would have to log into Fastlane, since the thing is through her. So, basically I'm being totally unhelpful, but I don't know what my status on Fastlane even is, or what "pending" at this stage might mean. I know a year or two ago someone on this forum had written for sociology that people getting rejections would likely hear after the acceptances. I don't know if this is still the practice in the NSF Soc office though...Sorry I can't be of more help (but otherwise, I'm the same boat as you, and hoping we'll know soon - hopefully for the positive!)
  7. Congrats boomer! I still haven't heard anything, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!
  8. I know! I wish they would just yay or nay us and relieve us of this anxiety already!
  9. Nope, nothing yet. I suppose they have to let us know by the end of June, seeing as that funding is for July onwards...or so I hope. This waiting has to end sometime soon, right?!
  10. Usually you can write to the program office and request them straight away. They should email them back to you (I got mine the day after I received the rejection in the fall cycle and requested the comments. A request from the PI may expedite things).
  11. Waitingtohearback: I was wondering the same thing. I heard somewhere that the review panel for Sociology was meeting on the week of May 12th. I am not sure how the process works though. I had applied for the Oct 2013 cycle, got rejected, but in the email they sent they had said the panel met on Dec 12-13. i received the decision email on Jan 10th 2014. It's possible the lag was because of the holidays, or it could just be how the bureaucracy functions.
