  1. Great insights. I got an email today from SAIS about the waiver exam. Since I am in India, attending the summer session for the class will be difficult. But they also write that I can only take the waiver exam once!! now that's a bit scary. Do you happen to know anything about this?
  2. I have the similar concern. SAIS seems to one of the best programs for IR. But people seem to recognize Columbia more. Some of them even asked where is Tufts. But does that really make a difference? Or should be choose a college which is known better among all?
  3. Hi there I am on the same boat. I was able to get minuscule funding from Fletcher ($12k for two years) which is not big enough to make a difference in the decision. My concern areas are that being an international student my choice of work limits to private sector or mulitlateral agencies. SAIS seems to have the largest chuck (in terms of percentage) of students being placed in private and world banks types of companies. SIPA again, I feel can be too impersonal. I am more inclined towards SAIS because of its reputation for offering quality studies (that's what I have heard). But SIPA has global recognition. Too confused! Any one know a deal breaker here?
  4. Hi Guys I too have concerns about the financial implications. Currently deciding between Harris, SIPA and Michigan. I also somehow feel that SIPA is a bit impersonal and might not lead to strong placements. Also, no funding received is a bummer.
  5. Hi Guys Congratulations to those who got their admissions. I submitted my application for MAIR program on Jan 30th. Still waiting for the results. I haven't heard anything from them yet. Is there someone going through the same?
  6. Hi had anyone heard about scholarships yet from SIPA? I know the admission letter states that in few weeks they will send information about financial aid. Today I also received an email about possible sources of scholarships to apply for. But no news of scholarships. Are scholarships announced in the admission letter itself?
