  1. Awesome! Princeton right now is my first choice but I have another visit to go. I'm interested in rational design and synthesis especially for neurodegenerative diseases so I'm most interested in Sorensen and Stock (associated faculty). Princeton also has a joint degree with neuroscience that seems pretty unique and pretty great.

I would like to start research in July but I'm an international student and Im worried that it might take forever to get my visa stuff sorted out. It seems so long from now though!

  2. How difficult is it for an incoming student to get apartment style housing on campus? I live in an apartment right now and already own furniture; I'd like to keep as much as I can

  3. Hey, so I saw that someone was accepted to University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and got a stipend package and everything. To that person: did you have to interview at all? I got an interview invitation from them but now I'm not sure if that's normal, or if they were just unsure about me.

  4. I know that this isn't exactly the format but I figure this is the best topic to ask.

My major is Chemistry but I'm really really interested in neuroscience research. I didn't figure that out until my senior year. This is my gap year and I'm applying to Neuroscience PhD programs.

I went to a large private college for chemistry
    overall gpa: 3.60
    Major gpa: 3.59
    Gre V: 165
    Gre Q: 166
    AW :5
    Waiting for chemistry gre results.

I did 2 years of research in an organometalllic chemistry lab at my college where I also won a small research Grant, had my abstracts published and presented at a conference held at my school.

In my gap year, I'm interning at a pediatric oncology lab at a pretty prestigious med school. I wanted to learn more bio skills. I'm also auditing some neuroscience classes at that school.

Is this enough for a decent application? The research that I'm interested in doing is Chemistry related but it falls mainly under neuro.
