Awesome! Princeton right now is my first choice but I have another visit to go. I'm interested in rational design and synthesis especially for neurodegenerative diseases so I'm most interested in Sorensen and Stock (associated faculty). Princeton also has a joint degree with neuroscience that seems pretty unique and pretty great.
I would like to start research in July but I'm an international student and Im worried that it might take forever to get my visa stuff sorted out. It seems so long from now though!

Who's going to be at the visit this weekend? Super excited!!

Does anyone know if NYU has sent out bulk offers yet?
It's likely. Their first visit weekend starts tomorrow.

Can we keep the same assignment every year? I imagine it can be a little annoying to move every year especially if u have a family or furniture.

How difficult is it for an incoming student to get apartment style housing on campus? I live in an apartment right now and already own furniture; I'd like to keep as much as I can

Looks like a couple of people heard from BU! I'm not one of them
Oh well, congrats to those who got an interview!
Anyone know when Rochester is going to send theirs? It's my last hope!
Don't give up hope on BU just yet. I live on the East coast and EVERYTHING is shut down. All the schools are closed, so they might still have some invites to send out. Optimistically.

More waiting. Sigh.
Looks like somebody got news.

Anyone applying to Boston University's Graduate Program for Neuroscience (GPN)? I can't seem to find any other fellow applicants
I applied too, haven't heard yet. Hopefully we will soon!!

Or you can just ask the schools. I've been invited to two similar weekends (for Chemistry) and the schools have been really open to questions. The offices at both schools said business casual with an emphasis on comfort - for all the walking! But if you're unsure, the admissions office might be the best place to ask.

Hey, so I saw that someone was accepted to University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and got a stipend package and everything. To that person: did you have to interview at all? I got an interview invitation from them but now I'm not sure if that's normal, or if they were just unsure about me.

I know that this isn't exactly the format but I figure this is the best topic to ask.
My major is Chemistry but I'm really really interested in neuroscience research. I didn't figure that out until my senior year. This is my gap year and I'm applying to Neuroscience PhD programs.
I went to a large private college for chemistry
overall gpa: 3.60
Major gpa: 3.59
Gre V: 165
Gre Q: 166
AW :5
Waiting for chemistry gre results.
I did 2 years of research in an organometalllic chemistry lab at my college where I also won a small research Grant, had my abstracts published and presented at a conference held at my school.
In my gap year, I'm interning at a pediatric oncology lab at a pretty prestigious med school. I wanted to learn more bio skills. I'm also auditing some neuroscience classes at that school.
Is this enough for a decent application? The research that I'm interested in doing is Chemistry related but it falls mainly under neuro. -

I haven't heard from BU, but I do know someone who got invited to the interview weekend a while ago.
