  1. One of my majors is Construction Management. I fought tooth and nail for a second major (materials) after I realized that many engineering schools do not value construction management / engineering / building tech, even at high GPAs. Your best bet is possibly Civil Engineering M.S., Facilities Management, M.S., Fire Protection Engr M.S., an MBA, or a Masters in Real Property Development or Architecture.
  2. Will Update again after taking GRE: Undergrad Institution: Division I State. Consistant Top 5 in many engineering for non-PhD granting institutions. School is 29% Engineering Major(s): Construction Management + Engineering (Focus in Biomimetic Materials) Minor(s): Biology (upper division courses applied towards Engineering) GPA in Major: 3.9 (CM), 3.4 (ENGR) Overall GPA: 3.3/4 (anticipate 3.4 upon sending transcripts) Length of Degree: N/A (Nontraditional student -- took 1 quarter off every year and a half) Position in Class: Top 1/4 for CM due to honor society membership. Otherwise, unknown. Unknown for Engineering. Average Cumulative GPA -- UNIVERSITY WIDE: 2.97/4.0. (Unofficial reports are that average ENGR GPA is around 2.75/4.0) Type of Student: Domestic, Nontraditional, Male GRE Scores: Taking in November Q: V: W: Physics: Research Experience: One Materials Science REU at a Top 5 Civil Engineering Program. Possibility of two publications, but no word yet. Probably won't happen until after I graduate Awards/Honors/Recognitions: Sigma Lambda Chi (Construction Honor Society). Dean's List off and on. Many scholarships through College of Architecture. Special recognition for service to the department from Construction Management Department. Participant / Captain of numberous ASC competition teams. Pertinent Activities or Jobs: Internships every summer, sometimes during academic year. State Wide to International Contractors. TA for 20hr/wk for past 3 years; began in Math department, switched to Construction Management and Architectural Engineering. Previously was an RA in on campus apartments. Any Miscellaneous Accomplishments that Might Help: Worked in a professional environment for 2 years before attending undergraduate. LEED Green Associate. Taking EIT in October. Taking Contractor's Licensure Exam in December. Unique individual senior thesis with industry support.
