I've been lurking for awhile and finally decided to post as I'm currently finalizing my list of schools. I'm really interested in UC Berkeley and the Grad Center, but nowhere else has really excited me in the same way. I should add that I'm focused on contemporary art, particularly social practice and photography. Where are people applying to? It would be good just to see what other people are thinking. Additionally, any thoughts on narrowed down your proposal/personal statement needs to be? I'm getting overwhelmed by the idea of enunciating exactly what I want to research before actually doing the research.
