  1. Your marks definitely seem high enough. You need lots more experience. If you dedicate the next year to getting more experience (I recommend CAS) then I think you have a great shot next year.
  2. I dont think you should be too concerned with "taking up spots". You need to do whats best for you. Whatever option you feel is best then do that. If i were you I would NOT remove yourself off the waitlist. That is just my opinion. Do whatever you feel is best. Personally, if I were you, I would go with option 1 - 100%. Dont give up on U of T, and dont remove yourself off the waitlist! I see no benifit to that - only potentially a lot of harm. Also, if you get into MSW you should take it. It is so hard to get into. If you waste money then so be it, but better to be secured a spot in MSW then to give it up and then have a hard time getting into advanced standing.
  3. It will say how to in the package you get in the mail.
  4. I have 4500 hours of experience and an 87 average in last completed academic year... I just got my REJECTION letter in the mail from Laurier.
  5. Question for people who got accepted and their official letter from U of T who are currently finishing their undergrad: What are the conditions of admission ? Thanks!
  6. I think its because most of us on this forum are keeners, and thus probably the top competitors.
  7. An SSW is good experience however I dont think it would make a BIG change in your application. Why is your application lacking? Are your grades an A? If they are not I strongly suggest taking more undergrad courses to boost your GPA. If it is solely experience, i would recommend volunteering with your local Childrens Aid Society, as I beleive that was really helpful to my application. These are my thoughts. Good luck!
  8. Can you provide a link to do this? Thanks!
  9. For everyone going to U of T - 2 year next year. Don't forget to join the group!!! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1418122681835473/
  10. Even though I havent gotten an acceptance to Laurier (yet) I am just so glad we are starting to find out !!!! I really just want to know either way. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and good luck to everyone still waiting. It is finally April and the wait is almost over !!!
  11. Does anyone know if a stats course will count as a research methods course at U of T or in general ??? I got a B+ in a 2nd year research methods class and an A in a 3rd year stats class. Would they look at my stats mark or my research methods mark ?? Thanks so much for anyone who can answer this!
  12. I also truly think we will hear from U of T and Laurier this week! Good luck everyone! Remember to post if you hear anything so we can all stay in the loop
  13. confirmation that York U has sent out all 20 acceptances already. I was personally told this by admin in the graduated department of MSW.
  14. Rosi is down for maintenance so that doesnt mean anything.... No decision yet for York U probably means you got rejected. I also have no decision yet on my file and I called and they said they are still looking over files so if it says no decision yet it means that they just havent made a decision yet on your file. Having said that, I got confirmation that they already sent out all acceptances .....
  15. I also wanted to let you all know that Angela responded to my message about my updated Resume/CV and said it will be added to my file. This definitely means that they have not even reviewed all the files yet! Hang in there everyone
  16. U of T definitely has more acceptances on the way !! Do not worry everyone. Congrats to those who have been accepted!
  17. Still wont let me login to LORIS ... whatever I guess I will just not try and wait for an email to come from them! Im assuming they email the applicants .... ?
  18. Just out of curiousity - Anyone who has been accepted to Carelton - Are you choosing to accept or decline your offer?
  19. Anyone else being redirected to a weird page when signing into LORIS?
  20. I volunteer part time at The Childrens Aid Society Toronto - North York Branch. I also volunteer at Community Living Toronto for adults with intellectual disabilities. I would strongly recommend finding a "Community Living" and volunteering there as it is a lot of fun, they generally always look for volunteers, and it looks good on your resume/CV.
  21. OMG I hope we hear tomorrow im so nervous and excited!
  22. My plan B is taking more undergraduate courses to boost my GPA and reapply next year.
  23. I know what you mean! Everytime I open my Rosi and I see the bold bright red its like a knife to my heart lol
