  1. Has anyone else tried the practice tests from ETS? I was just wondering how representative they are of the actual test and how to interpret my score. I took Form 1 today without any prep and got a 102 of 132, but I'm not really sure what that means with the confusing way the praxis seems to be scored. I'm going to study anyway, but could anyone tell me how I'm doing?

  2. Hi everyone! I know most people on here are just now applying for their master's, but is anyone looking at doing a clinical doctorate after?

I've recently been looking into a few of them and they seem to fit my career goals much more than a PhD would. I didn't think I wanted to do any additional education, but I'd be willing to do it if I could work full-time during the process. Just wondering if anyone has experience with what they might be like and how much funding I might expect. I'm favoring the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology at Northwestern, but the price tag worries me. I've also looked at KU, Valdosta, NOVA Southeastern, and Rocky Mountain University. Are there any others I should check out? I would prefer an online or hybrid program.

Yeah that's what I had noticed in the past too. I didn't know they changed heads of department though. I guess I'll just have to wait a little longer. Are you doing undergrad at SEMO?

I am, and I live pretty close to campus so it makes sense the letter would get to me first. Best of luck to you!

Congrats getting into both schools! About SEMO, did they also email you? I live in Cali so I'm not sure how long mailing would take.

    Thanks!

They didn't send a email for some reason. I was a little surprised about that since it looks like in past years almost everyone was notified by email. The head of the department changed this year though, so it may just be Dr. Brown-Haims' preference to send physical letters.

  5. I only applied to three schools, as recommended by my advisor. I haven't heard back from any of them yet, but judging from a quick results search it looks like no one else has either. I'm cautiously optimistic about my chances at this point.
