  1. I called in mid-March, and the woman said we would most likely hear back by April 15 for admissions and May 1 for funding
  2. Not that I know of or have found
  3. Georgia State University required one for me and did not assist with expenses.
  4. Blah also waitlisted via email. Congrats to everyone who received acceptances!! I wonder how many people were accepted
  5. Wow, sounds like a great sign!! Good luck with the interview I haven't heard anything from them.
  6. I have not visited the school, but I am very excited to hear back from them!! They contacted me after I applied asking about prerequisite courses that I would need to complete.
  7. The email I received said this: Please be reminded that a course in Neuroanatomy should be completed prior to entry in Graduate School if you have not already taken it. I don't think any of my previous classes will count towards this requirement. I'm wondering if the class can be taken online through USF or at a community college near me.
  8. I was accepted to South Florida as well and must have read the same forum that you read as well! I have been trying to get in contact with South Florida to ask a few questions, but they have never answered the phone nor responded to my voicemails, so I'm beginning to be concerned about their responsiveness. I have called once a day for most days since receiving the email in February, and left three voicemails over the time. Did you guys apply for the graduate assistantship? Do you know anything else about this neuroanatomy class that is required prior to the fall?
  9. If other people are receiving calls to schedule an interview at a school that I applied to and I am not, does this mean that I am most likely rejected?
  10. You could apply for personal aide or therapeutic staff support positions. you'd gain great one on one experience with those positions with kids with disabilities or behavior issues- or even speech issues!
  11. work experience in a partial hospitalization setting
  12. you could try applying to TSS or personal aide positions as well. you gain a lot of skills from positions such as those
  13. Do grad programs usually contact you about whether or not you have prerequisite coursework or enough shadowing hours before or after they accept/reject you? I sent my applications in earlier this week and had a school contact me about coursework and shadowing hours, so I am just wondering if this is a good sign or just a normal routine. Thank you for any input!
