  1. That would be interesting to know. I applied and was accepted to OISE as well
  2. I've applied to OISE and have been accepted to the Masters of Teaching program P/J level, just curious if anyone has any knowledge of this program they can expand on? Does anyone mind sharing their thoughts on OISE, MT program? I would greatly appreciate it!! I have also been accepted to teacher's education at Western, and will have to chose between the two.
  3. I am a 2 year applicant applying only to U of T. I have applied for other programs that is not social work, but we will see where they take me. The fields I am interested relate, and one of them is the social work program at U of T. I have been pretty patient so far, but as the dates draw near the “thrill” or “torture” of waiting is beginning to get to me! My GPA is okay, but I feel I am strong in other areas. If I don’t get in, it will probably be because of my “OK” GPA. Nonetheless, I have applied and looking forward to hearing a good response hopefully!! The end of March/early April is just too far..
  4. I emailed and asked. I got this email from Angela as well: I am responding to your message. This year, admission offer letters will be sent out from mid-February to mid-April. As decisions are mailed out, your status on the On-line application will be changed to Decision Made. By mid-April all MSW decisions will be sent out. Due to the high volume of applicants, we are not able to respond to messages regarding when a decision will be made on an application. We ask for your continued patience. I will be hopeful until mid-april!! But I think I have read somewhere before that advance standing goes out in March, and 2 year in April? I hope we start hearing from them soon!!
  5. Hey everyone! This is my first time applying to the 2 year MSW program at U of T. I've seen it briefly stated on here, but had further questions about the written statement. Do you think it's appropriate to focus your written statement on personal experience? Say for example if you were from a vulnerable or marginalized community? Without trying to go into much detail, I noticed U of T highlights its diversity and its focus for making changes to these communities and people. I do have a lot of paid employment (whether or not it directly relates to social work) working with a community, and some volunteer hours (mostly geared toward children and education) over the summers. I’d like to believe I am confident in my written statement, but noticed it was mostly personal experience. I am not sure if that would hurt or help? Good luck to everyone applying!
