  1. Everyone has had some really intelligent things to say! I wanted to add just one tiny caveat. You're gone through the MBA application process, so you probably are aware that getting an MBA after 28 becomes very difficult. Yes, older students are accepted, but schools will begin to refer you to their EMBA programs starting at 29. Here's a look at how CBS admissions views age (scroll down; also couldn't find one for Georgetown). Just thought I'd offer that perspective from the MBA side. I do agree with much of what everyone else has said.
  2. After you get the email from MSFS (NOT the letter to check your application decision from Georgetown University), go back and check your acceptance letter. My financial award was just below it.
  3. April 20th deposit. I wouldn't give up hope of advancing from the waitlist, I get the sense that no IR program has a very high yield. I for one am probably turning down Gtown. Best of luck!
  4. Anyone have any insight into how long financial award letters took last year?
  5. In!!!! With money too, but they say that will follow in a letter later on. Good luck everyone!
  6. Looks like it won't be today. Last year, it was on a Wednesday though...so fingers crossed for tomorrow!
  7. Alright, $20/year award! Not bad.
  8. To add to that, my acceptance letter to SAIS early decision didn't post until well past DC business hours
  9. Does anyone have a sense for how much merit funding SAIS gives out? Edit: anxiously awaiting tomorrow...
  10. I got just the one email, but I have two letters on my status page. One is the acceptance letter, and the other is the funding. They were both there at the same time, I think.
  11. In with a $70,000 scholarship over two years! The funding notification came as a second status update.
  12. @Maplesyrup, my first confirmation email said that too, but that same day I received a second, corrected email that said I'd hear by Dec 30th (and I did). So I think that's what everyone heard, and unrelated to your not hearing yet. Hope that helps.
  13. Same! And it looks like funding information won't come until mid March.
  14. I spoke with Admissions on the phone - they said they are still committed to releasing all Early decisions today.
  15. Ooo. Maybe you got accepted on Bologna time too. Well that's something
  16. Where exactly? I don't see anything either.
  17. Oh great point. Let's hope so!
  18. Is this the first year that SAIS has offered early notification? Re: that email saying admissions was gone until the 5th, I wonder if they've just said what they always say, and had a lil brain fart. Otherwise I don't see how we could hear back by the 30th...
  19. Man, I hope they do come out early. Dec 30 is a terrible day to get a notification. Does anyone have an idea of how we are likely to be notified?
