Re NYU, I am guessing that the student emailed their POI to ask. I also applied to NYU's social psychology program, and I have not heard anything. If you are feeling really anxious, it never hurts to call the grad secretary and ask the status of the admissions process. You don't even necessarily need to give him/her your name. Best of luck!

From what I understand, Yale sends out acceptances and has an accepted students day rather than a conventional interview day.

Yale admit, are you out there? And, would you be willing to share who your POI is? Also, I noticed that people have received rejections from UC Boulder (Sorry ). However, I have not heard a peep from them. I even sent an email a few weeks ago asking when their interview weekend is - just for scheduling purposes - and no reply. Anybody else waiting on Boulder? Another note, did anyone else receive the not-so cryptic email from UC Berkeley letting applicants know that they were not rejected (yet), but they were also not invited to interview weekend?
