I am still waiting on Rutgers, anyone else?
-
Cool, thanks for sharing! I REALLY hope so, UDel is one of my top choices and a great fit. I hope they find room for me too
-
I'm in the same boat, but for UDel not UPenn. I'm not sure about UPenn, but UDel already sent out both acceptances and rejections. I assume they are waiting to hear back from their top pick of candidates before they get back to me. So I hope it means we're waitlisted. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks for sharing, hope they don't need too much longer cause this wait is slowly killing me. I wonder if the siberian weather has anything to do with it, in past years it seems like they were much quicker with decisions.

Thanks for the info...wonder why it is taking them so long this year.

Is anybody else still waiting on U MD or Rutgers?
-
According to the CAA "Graduate Programs in History of Art and Architecture", for the 2012-13 academic year, U Penn got 211 applications and admitted 14, 5 of which enrolled. It doesn't specify if that was for an MA or PhD. It also notes the fall notification date was 2/15. Although based on the results board, it doesn't seem that the notification date is valid for this year. But I would assume that the number of applicants and acceptances is probably consistent from year to year.

at least this didn't happen... http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-31542315

wow, what is going on with delaware?! i didn't get anything, but according to the results board, looks like they messed up.
-
Well as long as nobody else has heard back either, I will hold out hope!
-
By the way, is no news really good news?

I am waiting to hear from Maryland too, and as far as I know, so is another person who I've been in contact with. We've both applied for a PhD, and I saw on the results page one person was already accepted for a MA. I wonder how much longer it'll take, waiting is excruciating. But at least we're not alone! I'm still waiting on 5 schools after two rejections. One of them is U Del, hopefully it's true that they're making decisions today. I can hardly take this waiting game much longer. I am 6 hours ahead of the east coast, and I have been waking up in the middle of the night wondering if I got an email... Congrats to those who have been accepted and good luck to those still waiting!

Thanks for the info!

Congrats on your acceptance to Oregon. I got rejected from UT too, and I'm still waiting to hear from WashU. I take it as a bad sign that I haven't heard anything
-
Asked to send in my transcripts... is this a good sign?
InerLC replied to NeuropharmesanCheese's topic in Waiting it Out
i was asked for extra transcripts by a school that eventually rejected me, , so not really sure if it is a good sign -
I'm still waiting to hear from MD too.

Got my first rejection today, sigh... It was from UT at Austin. It wasn't the best research fit anyway, so I am not too sad. Besides, I've got 6 more schools to hear from. To the Rice admit, if you are reading this, did you get an official email or was it from your POI? I haven't heard anything from Rice yet and my status online hasn't changed either... so I'm getting anxious. Good luck to the other UT applicants, I'm sure you will hear back soon.

Ok thanks for the info! I was getting worried because I have not been asked for an interview as of yet.
-
Yes I agree that private correspondence should best be kept under wraps!
-
Yes, perhaps this may be true. However, I bought the CAA Directory of Graduate Programs in History of Art & Architecture. There you can find the exact number of applicants, acceptances, the notification date, etc.
-
Congrats to those who have gotten acceptances! I still haven't heard back from any schools yet, so my anxiety level is rising. And I was wondering, does anyone know about interviews? Like is an interview usually always a prerequisite to being accepted?
-
Yep, February is gonna be the longest month ever.... I haven't heard from any schools yet (applied to 7) and I keep checking my email and the results page a million times a day to see if anyone else has heard from those schools yet. Yikes, the anxiety is getting to me and it is only the 2nd... patience is a virtue. I am also a "non-modernist"- northern Italian baroque painting is my forte

Hi! I did my MA in art history at the University of Vienna and now I am looking to continue my studies on 17th century Italian baroque painting in the States. I applied to 7 schools. U Texas at Austin, WashU, Princeton, Maryland, Delaware, PSU, and Rutgers. I'm nervous and excited to see how it turns out. The waiting game requires a lot of patience. At least the holidays help keep my mind off everything. Good luck to everyone! Hope you get in to your top choices!

Maybe it depends on how long your sample is, because the graduate secretary asked me to mail a hard copy in addition to uploading it.
