I was wait listed last week from my top choice school. I appreciate this thread for giving me hope!

I am interviewing for the neurobiology psychology program at Oklahoma State. Even though it looks like I am the only one who posted results for this on the results page, if anyone else reading this is interviewing for the same program I would love to hear who your POI is if you want to PM me!

I applied mainly to behavioral neuroscience programs that had professors doing research on stress and/or eating behavior. I also applied to one clinical program where my POI conducts research on eating behavior.

I checked it several times while writing it, and I even had the instructions open while writing it. I agree that it is really odd. I did not look at it until about a week after the due date, so maybe they changed it afterward. Either way, it makes me nervous!

Being the obsessive person that I am, I re-checked the institution website weeks after I submitted my application. To my surprise, I saw that they changed the page limit of the SOP! I had the original instructions in another excel file, so I know I did not just read it wrong. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I'm really hoping it does not impact my admission!

I was accepted off of the wait list yesterday! I think that if you are high on the wait list that you probably have a favorable chance of getting in. The university's first choice people are their first choice people for a reason, and they likely have several offers. Keep your head up and try not to go too crazy waiting! I know it's easier said than done!
