from a corporate job in software engineering to International Development finally...
I have over 15 years of experience as a software engineer in MNCs and am moving to my real passion- International Development.
I have volunteered extensively over the last decade and have dabbled with development quite a bit - domestically and internationally.
I was recently accepted into Sussex (IDS) and University of Kent at Brussels. Didnt make it to my top choice IHEID unfortunately, in spite of great grades and professional references. Might have been the lack of academic references and no social sciences degree, not sure...I am waiting to hear from Sciences Po and LSE.
Anyone with a similar background here and can offer advise on which schools would be more open to taking a candidate like myself?
thanks!
