I got asked to do this and I'm just sending in a picture of me wearing a UCLA t-shirt. I don't think it matters they said they just want it so that the faculty members can identify you
Yeah NYU is skype interviewing me. MIT is flying me out separately because I have a conflict with UCSF. But harvard and columbia aren't conflicting.. Harvard is late January, Columbia is early February, and UCSD is late February.
They just said to reply ASAP because it is basically first come first serve on which weekend you get. I'm sure they're not done sending them out! Try not to stress too much.
On the non interview days yeah I was planning on basically the same, slacks or jeans and either a blouse or a cami and a casual blazer. And at night for the bars definitely jeans, probably with boots. Also we have to keep in mind (at least on the east coast) that we're probably going to have a coat on the majority of the time anyways, especially when touring the schools outdoors.
All right everyone, while we're waiting.. I'd like to talk about clothes! The real question... suit or no suit? Some schools have specified no suit but others have not mentioned attire. I have heard from previous applicants that suits are the norm if the school doesn't mention what you should wear. What do you all think?
Also, the schools you applied to haven't seemed to send out invites yet! Some UCs interview from late Feb even to early March (based on previous years).
Some schools allow you to make alternate arrangements but some don't- however even if you have already committed, I would say that it doesn't matter. you should interview where you want to go to most.
Hey everyone! I'm new to this thread, applying for neuroscience Fall 2015 programs. So far I have gotten interviews at Northwestern, U Chicago, Mt. Sinai, UCLA, Harvard, and Johns Hopkins. I wish you all the best of luck!!
