"Brief Autobiography"?

I'm applying to an MFA program in dramaturgy at Columbia and in addition to the SOP, I have to write a brief autobiography. This is the prompt: Brief autobiography: Approximately 500 words summarizing the applicant's life and theatrical experience. I'm kind of stumped as to how to approach this. Should I go at it as if it's more of a personal history/diversity statement? Thanks for any input.
