I would highly recommend: Carnegie Mellon (CMU) University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) Georgia Tech (Gatech) Each have highly interdisciplinary robotics departments with experts in vision and SLAM and vision-based SLAM.

Has anybody (apart from the NLP admits) heard anything from JHU?

I hope it means something since the status of my GRE General scores were also updated around that time ..

@MrRoboto and @explorer-c Did you apply to the PhD in Robotics program through the College of Computing at Gatech?

Someone in the survey section states that acceptances were mailed out last week and all the rejections will be mailed out in the middle of this week --- any corroborators?

Has anybody applied to Gatech's PhD Robotics program through the College of Computing? There have been several admits in PhD CS at Gatech, but only one for the Robotics program - any idea if they're done with the decisions? I'm interested in vision-based SLAM.

My name is phantom23 and yes, I too suffer from this horrible disease. When I surf, my Inbox is the first tabbed window in the line up and my eyes dart to it between intervals lasting a few seconds. Luckily, the time period between seeing the (1) (yes, it's never over 1 thanks to my affliction) and reading the mail is too short to inflict any real damage (I think I hold my breath during the entire process). And when I'm not surfing, I always switch back to my Inbox and the eyeball-flicking resumes ... ARGHHH!!!!!!!!!!! NOT TO MENTION the results website is bookmarked with the appropriate search query.

2 people were invited to the recruitment weekend on Mar 6-7 and someone else was accepted a few days before the weekend (as per the survey results). Is it over? Should I call them up? Is there anybody else in the same position?
