I've applied for UC Santa Barbara because of their Dynamical Neuroscience PhD program. It's an interdisciplinary program with neuroscience (computational and cognitive), biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, neuroimaging, and computer science. The degree is newer, as are the facilities and equipment, and students work with people in these different fields (as well as come from these different fields).
