Hi everyone!
I'm posting to get some advice on whether there's a type of personality that would be better suited for a career in industrial organizational psychology.
I'm a fairly introverted person, and while I do enjoy socializing and meeting people, I'm not sure I would do that well in a leadership position. Looking at the job description for I/O psych, it seems like there is a managerial or leadership-like role that's inherent in the job. Would there be options in the field that involve more of a behind-the-scenes role, or one that's heavier on writing and editing?
I'm currently a senior psych student in undergrad, and love psychology and would want to apply to grad programs in I/O psych. I just want to make sure it's not too disparate from my personality.
Thanks in advance!
