Well, Culver City is great for sure, as that is where all the openings are, and its just a pretty hip city. Plus, curators will do studio visits locally.The studios are also nice. I think the M.F.A. program can hold up to any in Los Angeles. The grad students I have talked to all speak highly of the program. A recent graduate (Katie Kowen) just had a Solo Exhibition at Cherry and Martin. The M.F.A. students have their thesis shows in the Bolsky Gallery, so I have seen almost all of them. Some are a yawn, but many of them are impressive.

Accepted at Otis College of Art and Design (painting) by E-mail on Feb. 26. $12k scholarship. I will graduate from Otis undergrad in May, so that may have helped. Still waiting on USC. Had studio visit with Charlie White yesterday and he remembered my work from my application. I have no idea if that is a good thing or not.

My name is WilI. I'm a senior at Otis. I would love to share my statement. The problem is I haven't finished it yet. I missed the deadline for UCLA, so now I'm in a mad rush to finish my SOP for USC, and maybe Irvine or Long Beach State. I'm sculpture/new genre major, but I want to get into a painting program.
