Rejected by Cornell. Guess all my top choices have rejected me: Cornell, Princeton, Yale. Just waiting for GaTech results.

Me too.. rejected for ORFE PhD. I thought I had a good shot here. And the wait for an accept continues....

To guys who got admit --- Congrats! I wanted to know if CMU has finished its selection. I had applied fro ML dept and I am yet to hear from them. Initially I thought it may be due to some delay in my package, but as Mar 1 approaches I am getting jittery. Anyone else who is yet to hear from CMU ML?

My 2 cents on this topic... For PhD, the critical thing is the faculty you'll be working with. So a school with Prof(s) in the area of your research interest is more imp than the brand. In fact, it is a good idea to speak to senior Grad students before you commit your thesis advisor.

Great! Congratulations! Are u planning to inverse-bump Princeton now, is it your fav school? It may help us, if its not high on your list and you reject it. Also I have seen some Cornell admits on the board. Anyone who regularly visits the forum heard from Cornell?

I too am yet to hear from CMU (CS/ML) and UMass (CS/ML). I believe UMass has a rolling admission, i.e., sends out in batches till April; but the silence from CMU indicates that I am heading for a reject letter from them. Any guys who got in CMU (CS/ML)? Any idea what their intake is (typically) for machine learning?

Strange to see a single admit (on board) for Cornell and no-one else hearing from Cornell. Also there was an interview call for ORFE, Princeton for some guy. Any details abt that? Anyone else got a call? The coming week is crucial. Princeton usually sends its accepts and rejects within a span of 2 days in 3rd week Feb. Also results from Cornell should be available soon. Waiting......
