  1. I got that email as well! When I checked, for some reason, the date for the University of Guelph had changed to 03/24/15 and the status was "received by administrator" :S. Even though I'm positive I had been notified they had received it way beforehand...
  2. I think the tri-council policy is that you are only eligible to hold the award at the school you received the award from, and if you are enrolled at that institution. If you didn't get in anywhere, you would have to forfeit the award. Also, if you got the award at school A and not school B, but you enrolled in school B for the fall, you would not be able to transfer your award from school A and hold your award at school B. I hope this helps haha, it's kind of confusing!
  3. Yes - to clarify, clinical.
  4. If anyone has been wondering about McGill, I emailed my POI yesterday and she had already made a shortlist of candidates and is interviewing them next week (not great news for me, but oh well ). I know a few other people who have been extended interviews and some who have been made offers ~1-2 weeks ago, but in my email my POI mentioned that other professors may still be making their list of candidates, so if you haven't heard, don't give up hope!
  5. I interviewed at Guelph about a week ago. I couldn't make on on-site interview, so I requested a Skype interview. My first was with two members of the department (my POI and one other faculty member) and I had another phone interview with another professor as well a few days later. Apparently they try to have all the prospective students interview/chat with at least three faculty members. I got the feeling that it was a crucial step in the admissions process as they ask a lot of questions about your fit to your POI's research, and your suitability/emotional preparedness to work in child clinical settings. I think how you answer these questions plays quite a big role in how suited they think you are for the program! Have you interviewed at Guelph already? (If you haven't, good luck!! ) (Edit: I interviewed for clinical!)
  6. Wow this is interesting, especially how VERY few people who have been admitted over the years were out-of-province. If I had seen this earlier that might have made me re-think my application.
  7. When I was stressed out during the whole complete-and-submit-applications stage, I was warned by grad students that the TRULY stressful part of applying was the long months when you heard little to nothing back from the schools. I didn't believe it then, but I definitely know what they mean now! Has anybody applied to/heard anything from McGill? There has been nothing on the results page, so I am surprised that they are taking so long to contact students!
  8. Would the person who got accepted into Dalhousie clinical mind PMing me their POI? I would be so grateful!!
  9. Have fun and good luck!! Wish I could have attended I wouldn't say that! I got the feeling my POI contacted her shortlist very early, and wouldn't be surprised if applications were still being reviewed by the department. She did tell me that I could hear back about a decision as early as late Jan to or later in mid March. I think it just depends on so many different things. Don't sweat it yet
  10. I'm Canadian, but I don't live anywhere near Guelph so I requested a Skype interview . My POI at Dal contacted me for a Skype interview in mid-Jan, she had already shortlisted applicants she was interested in. I was told that the department was meeting to look at the applications two fridays ago and I believe that offers were supposed to be made after that? I haven't heard anything since, which makes me nervous! I saw that someone on the results page has been accepted at Dalhousie. If that poster sees this, would you mind PMing me your POI? I am so curious! Thank you!!
  11. Hey everyone, long time lurker. Finally posting! Does anybody know anything about McGill? My application hasn't budged from being "in review". Judging by above posts I'm assuming I won't be hearing my Ryerson any time soon... Otherwise, I've interviewed at Guelph and Dalhousie now so I guess the rest is a waiting game!
