I'm sorry. It sucks when you think you're in a good position for something too and then it doesn't work out. I didn't get the NMAACH or the NMAI one either. Still waiting to hear from NMNH, although that will probably be a similar response as the other two. I didn't receive any personal feedback either, but the NMAI had said that for my 10-week internship, there was "one spot." I probably still would have applied, just because, but still...that's something that'd be nice to know beforehand how many interns they're looking to accept. Especially when the number is THAT low.

Hey all, I got an email stating a decision had been made (after I had been unofficiallly accepted 3 1/2 weeks ago) and was officially given admittance with the letter attached (dated Feb 4). Hopefully you guys will be getting concrete word of your acceptance soon too then! Good luck to everyone

Guys I finally got notified of my official acceptance to Berkeley online, which included my official acceptance letter! SUPER EXCITED! Can't wait to visit. Hopefully this means some others on this board will be hearing news of their acceptance as well!

I also received unofficial word about 3 weeks ago now from a POI in my dept however I haven't gotten an official letter, email, or change in online status. Although my POI and I have maintained continuous contact since sooo idk? Slight side note: is anyone planning a visit?? I am. Anyone claiming the two U of A posts? That makes 3 schools now that have people are hearing back from and I've still heard nothing...ahhh even if they're rejections that's fine, I just wanna know!!!

And does this apply for the entire anthro dept? (sociocultural, archae, etc?) It seems the majority of people were hearing back by email before the portal site...? Wondering where my decision email is already

Information for any fellow Texas A&M applicants, I emailed the graduate coordinator and he said, "PhD applications are being entered now and while a decision has not been made about your application yet we expect the Nautical program to give them to us this week." Soooo I'm hoping that means we'll be hearing back about decisions in the next few weeks??

Anyone claiming the UC San Diego bioarch acceptance??? Now I'm getting anxious. Three schools in the past few days have been beginning to send out more decisions...NYU, UCLA, and now UCSD

Is there a systems website to check for NYU application status? Or will they just update your application login portal? Or use the Supporting Material Tracking system?

My POI at UC Berkeley phoned me earlier this afternoon and we had a nice informal chat about the school. He's excited at my possibility of attending, talked to me about the possible fellowships, plus other options if I don't receive that one, and he would like for me to come out and see the campus in March or April, meet faculty and students, and see the university. He was very personable and understanding. Feeling excited!

I applied to for internships, not fellowships...being that I only have my BA. But I applied to NMAI (American Indian), NMAACH (African American Culture and History), and NMNH (Natural History).

Yoooo...my bad. That was me. I wasn't sure what to put since they have that joint Master's ----> PhD program and I'm just now graduating with my BA. Sorry for the confusion/panic I've cause some people

No, I have interviewed anywhere. My POI at Berkeley asked to just talk on the phone at some point but the word "interview" or even an informal one was not mentioned...perhaps implied idk? haha
