still no word... they really are taking their time this year... Thanks for sharing Chris! I personally knew an archaeologist at UVA who got the award two weeks ago. I assume he was among the first batch of awardees. They are probably waiting to see if anyone turns down the award before sending all notifications then. Hopefully we will hear back next week.

Did anyone hear anything yet?

I've been admitted to PhD in socio-cultural anthropology at Brown, UC Irvine, Washington University in St. Louis, and UVa. UC Davis is still trying to get funding to cover my tuition. Does anyone have some insights in these programs? Any current students? I want to focus on China studies and my proposed project is related to the body, sexuality, queer studies and the state. Thanks!

POI met me in person telling me "it was not a good news..." and it seems accepted students (at least first round) have been notified. I don't know what's taking them so long this year :/
