I declined my admissions offer yesterday! I hope that helps some of you still waiting to hear.
-
Also wondering if everyone they accept is being considered for a scholarship? The cost is so insane I don't think I will be accepting without some form of aid....sad since it is a great program!
-
I just received my email as well and was accepted! Am also being considered for a merit-based scholarship. Very exciting! But it is soooo expensive....
-
Wonder what time they will start sending decisions? This is nerve wracking!!

Tomorrow is the day! (hopefully)

mgm1123- Thanks for offering to help! How do you like TCU? Would you happen to know if there are opportunities to have externships in a hospital setting?
-
Have you made a decision or are you still waiting to hear back from other schools? As of now I am torn between UTD and TCU. TCU will actually be my cheapest option since I was given a GA position, but I love both programs so I really don't know what I should base my decision on!

thanks for getting back to me! That makes my decision even harder...
-
I know that TCU typically will end up with a class size of 14 monolingual and around 6 bilingual students. I am not sure how many acceptances/waitlists they send out but I cant imagine it would be too many since the program is so small!
Laurakt- Do you know any other information about the program at TCU? I am waiting to hear back from a few more places but as of now I think I am going to be deciding between TCU and UTD and am trying to find anyone who may have some insight. Thanks and congrats on your waitlist!

Midwestern U, Texas Tech, Boston U, Emerson, Our Lady of the Lake....just from the top of my head

Anyone know approximately the total cost of UTD would be with in state tuition? I am having trouble finding it on the website.

I just declined my admissions offer at Texas Tech. Hope that helps someone! Good luck to all.

Has anyone else been accepted to or is anyone interested in TCU's program? I am trying to learn more about it and was curious to see if anyone had any insight. Thanks!

We both heard on March 4th

I have also never been good with numbers/math. After my first practice test I scored a 142 on the Q section and above average on V and AW. Knowing this, I chose to take a GRE prep course that strictly focused on the Q version of the test as well as used the Magoosh online practice tests. I ended up making a 153 on Q during my actual test and have been accepted into a few of my top choices already! So putting in the extra effort was definitely worth it! Good luck!

Itr29 I was accepted to TCU and have until March 27th to make my decision in order to keep my funding. On the phone they said if I were to decline, my admissions spot and funding would be awarded to the next person on the waitlist. I have one friend who was waitlisted at TCU already, but I am not sure if they are done giving out waitlists or acceptances yet. Hope that helps!

I was accepted to both UTD and TCU (w/ GA covering 80% of my tuition) today! Going to have a very tough decision to make. Good luck to everyone!

Chandru1- Thank you! No I have not received anything in the mail yet. My portal did update though.

Crossing my fingers you hear soon!! I haven't seen any other news from them so there is still plenty of time! Goodluck! I wish you the best!
-
AlliVilla- I applied to the general program!
-
I just received a call from Texas Christian University. I was accepted with a Graduate Assistantship that will pay for more than 80% of my tuition. I am in shock! Hard decisions to come.
-
Just received my acceptance email! I am so thrilled!
-
I was also waitlisted, BU was not one of my top choices so I am not very upset! Just glad to hear from another one of my programs. Will likely be taking myself off the waitlist. Congrats to everyone accepted!

Agreed I am going crazy here! Just ready to hear!

How does everyone feel about finding a roommate within the program vs finding a roommate who is not SLP? I know that we will be spending a lot of time with our classmates throughout the day so would it be too much to have your home life be SLP filled as well? What are everyones thoughts?
