Interesting, thanks!! They do say that basically they will be re reviewing my application in april once they get the initial deposits, so it is not ordered. I have been a little concerned about getting my hopes up just because the letter was so nice and it seemed like alternate was better than waitlist. Maybe I was reading into it though. Is there also a wait list? I emailed them asking but am too impatient haha. Congrats to everyone on their acceptances and my sympathies for any rejections/deferrals/waitlists. Nothing more frustrating than getting positive reinforcement but still no definitive answer.

Hey folks! I am super surprised, just got a letter that I'm an alternate at Mica (hoffberger). Is that just a sugar coated word for waitlist? They seemed positive about my chances of getting in but I was wondering what exactly being an alternate means. I didn't interview so was just waiting for my rejection letter--a pleasant surprise!

Dare I even ask... No mica interview means no dice, right?

I also just got into SFAI for an MFA in painting. Anyone hear about merit scholarships yet, or are those separate from the acceptance letters? Also, was alerted via mail if anyone is waiting to hear from there. That seemed surprising to me.
