Thank you! I also worry about the prestige of the name outside academia, if I decide to do that. It feels like everyone knows Brown and I would have to defend Albany all the time. Thank you again for your advice!
Hi. I have been accepted and visitin Brown and SUNY Albany. I am interested in demography and both programs have their pros and cons. I'm wondering what you all think! Visiting Albany, I was more comfortable and felt that professor-student collaboration and mentorship were incredible. Brown, of course, has the recognition and the name, but I didn't love the visit. I'm wondering what everyone thinks! Bring it on! Thank you.
Thanks, everyone! I just want to know already! Still waiting on Boston University also. I heard today from Portland State via snail mail, so best of luck to PDX applicants!
Cornell University (development sociology)
New York University
University of Chicago
Haven't heard from them but I see rejections/acceptances posted. Does this mean I'm rejected or wait listed?
Thanks!
Hello! I check the responses page a lot to see if anyone's heard back from schools I'm applying to. I'm getting nervous because more and more of you are hearing back from schools I've applied to, but I haven't heard from them yet. Is this a bad sign? Or is it just because I applied late (but still before the deadline)?
