Has anyone heard anything new from Queen's MPH? I know the first round of acceptances had to respond by March 31st, I was wondering if they ended up sending out more acceptances since this date ?
Nope, I applied to Queen's as well but have yet to hear anything back. However, I got into U of T's MPH so I'm not too worried at this point. I still check my Queen's portal though, but as of today nothing new.

Incase anyone else is waiting on Toronto's OEH program, I just got a call for an interview next week!
Congrats to you! envy22 and I both accepted the offer to U of T's MPH - OEH so I hope you'll be joining us this fall feel free to PM me if you have questions about the interview.

I was accepted to U of T's MPH - Occupational and Environmental Health program this morning! I will be accepting my offer as it is my first choice good luck to those of you who are still waiting, hang in there.

@sh722709 I applied to U of T's OEH program and had my interview earlier this month. I did not receive an e-mail asking whether I applied for the research or professional option. However, I stated this in my letter of intent (as you have) and confirmed this during my interview.

@ringettegoalie, congrats on the UBC acceptance - sounds like you will have a fruitful and fun year ahead of you! To everyone who interviewed at U of T's OEH program: we are supposed to hear back next week. What an exciting time I hope we all get into our top choice programs. Anyone else still waiting on Queen's general MPH? I know there have been a few acceptances so far but I am still waiting.

Hi eeee927,
Hopefully we will be classmates this Fall! My university uses a different grading scale than most but over the last 2 years I had an A to A+ average! Cumulatively my average would be from B+ to A-. They did not state whether my offer is conditional or not. They just said they are offering me admission and will be sending a formal admission letter shortly with the package. I think that in the formal admission package, it will specify the conditions of my acceptance.
Congrats on the Queen's acceptances, eo92 and ekunkel! I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I just checked the portal and the status hasn't changed, so keeping my fingers crossed. Even though the Queen's MPH program is relatively new, it looks very promising. Kingston is also a great city.

Thanks fallingup! I think you can rescind offers after acceptance, although the faculty will be annoyed. There's not much you can do if your deadlines don't match. It wouldn't be fair to not to be able to go to the school of your choice just because one of them had an early deadline for acceptance. At least there is a waiting list so others can take your spot.
Thanks Epi2015, that was my original thought as well. I wish the whole application system for MPH programs in Canada was consolidated like it is for the US (SOPHAS). I will definitely accept my top choice when the time comes, regardless of other deadlines. I know that this is probably frowned upon but it would make me much happier and it would provide waitlisters with spots at their top school Happy weekend everyone!

@Epi2015 congrats on such an early acceptance! I have a general question for this forum: if an individual is accepted into multiple programs with different acceptance deadlines, would (s)he be able to take up one of the offers and later rescind it should it not be the first choice?

Received a call this morning from U of T inviting me to interview. Quite excited! Does anyone know if Queen's conducts interviews for their MPH program?
-
Based on last year's MPH thread, interviews for U of T OEH began in mid-March and acceptances rolled out starting in early April. I don't think Queen's MPH conducts interviews, but they began to send out acceptances in March/April. Other schools sent out results much faster (ex. Waterloo and Lakehead as early as February). Good luck to everyone applying! Every so often I check my online portals hoping for a status change haha

I applied to UofT for Health Promotion, it's my top choice. Problem is Lakehead needs an acceptance by March 20th.
I also applied to Waterloo, Queens and Guelph, still waiting to hear back.
I applied to Queen's and Toronto as well. I'm excited to hear back!

Congrats on the acceptance! Anyone apply to U of T MPH programs this year? Based on last year's thread, it seems like the applicants heard back around early April. I'm not sure how the interview process works as the website says "if applicable". Do they interview every applicant, strong candidates, or what?

Woohoo I was hoping someone would start this thread! What's everybody applying to?

Hey congrats! I got my "recommended for admission" e-mail two weeks before I received an official acceptance from U of T SGS. Don't worry, this means you're in (unless you fail your courses and don't get your undergraduate degree).
