Yea I wouldn't do that. I was just wondering how to go about it because the website where you submit the application clearly states when you should expect to hear back by. So it's like how do you really go about asking a question for which the answer is clearly stated.

My POI emailed me saying that I was on the short list and that I should feel free to contact the graduate college about a fellowship I applied for as this might speed things up... Within the fellowship application it states that awardees would be notified by April 15th. How exactly should I go about following up on the fellowship? What should I ask?
