4.0 SLP GPA, undergrad 3.3 or so, GRE was not a good day for me - 148QN/150QL, 3.0 AW, research experience w/thesis, scads of volunteering, et cetera. Good LORs (one former ASHA board member, two full professors).
Anyway, most of it didn't help! Probably if nothing happens then I'll try to get some research published, volunteer more, and maybe retake the GRE to up my AW score or something, God knows.
Nope! That's why I said I'm not holding my breath. God willing, Mercy is my best hope at the moment. Thanks ImHis, anyone else have anything to mention about that?
I have a waitlist at Mercy and rejections from everyone else so far. Hatha hayat (that's life in Arabic)! Still waiting on CUNY Brooklyn (but not holding my breath), LIU Brooklyn, Touro, and SJU.
I'm wondering, do people get in in this competitive environment (NYC) after doing online pre-reqs? I didn't (QC), but I know someone who is interested in doing them through USU. Anyone have experience with this? I noticed one person in the thread got into NYU after doing online pre-reqs.
No idea... they have a lot of people applying, so they can probably interview a whole ton and just pick out the four or five they like.
Also, do these schools do writing in the interview? I heard Lehman doesn't anymore, but I don't know anything about the others...
I have applications out at many schools. All the CUNYs, NYU, TC, Mercy, LIU Brooklyn... That's about it, I think.
Interviews next week with Lehman and this week with Mercy - does anyone know what questions are asked there? Please let me know! Thanks.
