Thanks stevn7. I was looking up on-campus housing for Graduate students. Convenient because of proximity to department but sort-of expensive. I am an International student so driving down to campus the first year isn't a likely option. Have to start apartment hunting sometime soon.

Stuck with the same problem myself. Moving to Rutgers this fall for PhD. To be honest I haven't heard the greatest of things about Newark. Online blogs and websites keep mentioning that petty crimes happen quite frequently.
I was thinking of living somewhere within a reasonable distance from the campus like Ironbound, Jersey City, Hoboken etc.

Has any PhD- Environmental Engineering applicant heard back from Vanderbilt, UCLA and Northwestern ?
Its been such a long wait and they haven't even given conclusive replies to my emails. I have a fully funded PhD offer from Rutgers whose acceptance has to be notified by April 4 ! -
Has anyone heard back from University of Washington and Northwestern , environmental engineering ? I received no reply to my emails.
Taiwan Scholarship 2015

I won this scholarship for the year 2015. It's a very prestigious scholarship in the sense that it is sponsored by the Taiwan Embassy and only 10 people receive it from my country every year. However, I am declining this scholarship in favour of a PhD in the United States , starting in the fall.
Is there a way to put this in my CV (inspite of me declining it )? It will surely be a good addition to my achievements ! (I think )
