Thank you all for your responses. I graduated undergrad a few years ago and began to think about the English MA only in the past couple years, so I've just been trying to figure this whole process out as I go along. It has certainly been a rollercoaster ride.

I only applied to 5 MA programs because things were getting expensive. I now think that was a big mistake. I haven't heard from anyone! I am pretty certain UConn and PSU are implied rejections. However, I do not know what to think about Temple, Syracuse and Lehigh. Can anyone offer me any advice? Is it normal for schools to go through PhD applications before going through those for the MA?
