Or I guess another question is... how open should I be about my interest in the school? Should I state that the school is my top choice, but I wouldn't be able to go without the funding? Should I not reveal that it's my top choice (even though it is)?
My school doesn't release funding related information until April either.
Should I be communicating with the program coordinator, POI, financial office or the grad school about financial aid? I just got a nice e-mail from POI congratulating me for my acceptance - should I mention that I would like to attend the school but I am waiting for funding in my response?
So I had to fill out all the financial aid stuff for one of the schools I applied to due mid-February. I just got an e-mail saying "before we can complete your file and determine your eligibility for aid, we need some additional information." Is this a sign at all that perhaps - at least - I am still in the running because otherwise I feel like they won't even be going through my financial aid application? It's been a while since I interviewed (late January) and the school's admission decision timeline is supposed to be March-April... Do you guys think I am getting this e-mail because I am potentially admitted/waitlisted at this stage of the game or do you think it's just a generic e-mail to all applicants?
Gah, such a stupid little thing I'm obsessing over.
