o anybody know Mathematics dept of claremont graduate university(CGU)? I just received Ph.D offer from CGU (Usnews ranking is 73). However, I found that few faculties are in IMS of CGU. It seemed that it is not a completed matheamtics dept with not so many mathematics activities, seminars or courses. Besides, I heard that few faculties are still doing research right now! I am marjoring in Probability Theory and want to do research like Financial Mathematics or statistics in my PhD study. Is every doctoral student easy to find a good job related to Financial Mathematics or statistics after graduation from maths dept of CGU? If possible, could you tell me extra information about CGU? is it worth attending it? Thanks!
