I have been accepted to both programs as a biomedical engineering student. I am torn between the two. Duke has a stronger reputation and the program is more geared toward product development and landing a job in industry. Columbia is in NYC and closer to home, it is still a strong school. I want to end up in the northeast after grad school. I don't plan on doing research at either school. I did want to go to a city for grad school. What is Durham like? What are your opinions on the situation?
